Between the 7th and the 9th of November, the LICHTGRENZE marked the line once taken by the Berlin wall with thousands of illuminated white balloons, while an open-air exhibition told stories about the divided city. Every balloon was accompanied by a balloon patron and their own personal message, and these words rose into the sky on postcards on the 9th of November. At fallofthewall25.com, balloon patron messages and a selection of wall stories were collected. People from around the world were also invited to become virtual balloon patrons by sharing their personal messages on this page. I was responsible for:
